Leave Your Pumpkins at the Curb For Collection

(Brampton) - After the ghosts and goblins disappear, remember to place your Halloween pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns at the curb for regular yard waste or organic waste collection.

"There's no need to break the pumpkin into pieces," says Steve Field, Supervisor of Waste Collection at the Region of Peel. "Before setting pumpkins at the curb, we are asking residents to remove any remaining candles, candle wax, foil or other decorations from the pumpkins."

Once the decorations have been removed, residents should place their pumpkins at the curb next to their yard waste for collection. Residents with organics carts can place their pumpkins in or beside their carts for pick up.
