BRAMPTON, ON. (March 30, 2010) – Region of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed for Good Friday on April 2, 2010. Region of Peel headquarters and most offices will reopen for business on Monday, April 5, 2010.
Residents in Brampton and Mississauga are advised that there will be no changes to waste collection due to the Easter Holiday. Garbage and recycling (blue box, green bin and yard waste) will be collected on regularly scheduled collection days.
Residents in Caledon are advised that there will be no waste collection serviceson Good Friday, April 2, 2010. Garbage and recycling (blue box, green bin and yard waste) will be collected one day later on Saturday, April 3. Regular waste collection services resume the week of April 5.
Peel’s Community Recycling Centres will be closed on Friday, April 2 and Sunday, April 4, and will operate under regular hours on all other days.
All breastfeeding clinic services offered at the Brampton Breastfeeding Clinic and the Peel Public Health Clinic – Meadowvale will be closed on Friday, April 2 and Monday, April 5.
The clinics will reopen on Tuesday, April 6. Breastfeeding clinics operate by appointment only. To book an appointment, please call 905-799-7700.
All Healthy Sexuality Clinics will be closed on Friday, April 2 and Monday, April 5, and will resume regular hours of operation on Tuesday, April 6. The Bolton Healthy Sexuality Clinic will be closed on Monday, April 5 and will instead be open on Tuesday, April 6 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
The 44 Peel Centre Dr. Public Health Customer Service Contact Centre will be closed on Friday, April 2. Regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. will resume on Monday, April 5.
Peel Heritage Complex has temporarily closed its doors for an exciting restoration and construction project. Visit www.peelheritagecomplex.org to ‘virtually’ visit the Region of Peel’s Museum, Archives and Art Gallery and learn about outreach programs, see drawings of the new space, and view expansion updates.
The following Human Services offices will be closed Friday, April 2 and Monday, April 5, and will reopen on Tuesday, April 6:
- Learn.Play.Care. Child Care Centres, Early Learning Services and Children’s Services Operations
- Ontario Works in Peel and Employment Resource Centres (Millcreek and Peel Youth Village in Mississauga; and 10 Peel Centre Dr. in Brampton)
The following Human Services office will be closed on Friday, April 2, but will reopen Monday, April 5:
- Peel Access to Housing, Peel Living and Rent Supplement (10 Peel Centre Dr. in Brampton)
TransHelp service hours for Good Friday, April 2 are from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. with service provided by taxi partners. The TransHelp office will be closed. Weekend service remains unchanged. Regular office hours resume on Monday, April 5.
