Southbound Lane Reductions on Dixie Road in Brampton

BRAMPTON, ON. (July 23, 2010) – Dixie Road is reduced to one southbound lane, just north of Steeles Avenue in Brampton, due to a watermain break. The left turn lane onto Steeles Avenue East, also remains open.

Region of Peel crews are onsite working to fix the break.  The lane closures are expected to continue through this morning’s rush hour.  The Region of Peel asks commuters to expect delays or avoid using this area if possible.

The Regional Municipality of Peel was incorporated in 1974 on the principle that certain community and infrastructure services are most cost-effectively administered over a larger geographic area. The Region of Peel serves more than one million residents in the Cities of Mississauga and Brampton and the Town of Caledon.
