Limited Access to PAMA Archives, May 7 - June 15
BRAMPTON, ON. (May 7, 2012) The Archives at the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) will have limited access to materials from May 7 June 15.
The temporary Reading Room will remain open for those who wish to look at microfilm and local history books. No original material will be made available during this period. To make an appointment, call 905-791-4055, ext. 3630.
During the closure, the Archives will undergo a renovation, which includes the installation of a compact storage system. The changes and upgrades are part of PAMA’s overall renovation, which includes expanded exhibition and storage space to better serve the public.
The Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) is making history. A $13-million restoration and construction project commenced in 2010 to enhance the land and buildings that hold the Region of Peel’s museum, archives and art gallery. The Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives is temporarily closed. When PAMA re-opens later this year, there will be expanded exhibition space and state-of-the art collection storage.
