BRAMPTON, ON (June 10, 2012) – Peel Regional Paramedics are asking the public’s assistance in locating a narcotics pouch that went missing from one of their ambulances sometime during Saturday evening.
The ambulance crew was working in Brampton when the small black zippered pouch containing controlled narcotics and needles went missing. Peel Paramedics are concerned for the public’s safety as there are enough drugs in this pouch to seriously harm someone if used.
Peel Regional Paramedics carry medical supplies including narcotics to treat patients during medical emergencies.
Peel Police from 21 Division have been called in to investigate the missing drugs.
If a member of the public finds the missing narcotics pouch they are asked to refrain from opening it and to immediately call Peel Police at (905) 453-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (888) 222-TIPS (8477).
