BRAMPTON, ON. (June 25, 2012) – Residents in the Town of Caledon are advised that there will be no changes to their waste collection services due to the Canada Day holiday. Garbage and recycling (blue box, green bin and yard waste) will be collected on regular collection days during that week.
The Bolton Community Recycling Centre (CRC) operates Tuesday to Friday and is not affected by the Canada Day holiday. The Brampton and Fewster CRCs will be closed on Sunday, July 1 and Monday, July 2. These CRCs will operate under regular hours on all other days although residents visiting these sites should expect delays due to picketing activity resulting from the current labour dispute. Residents are encouraged to hold on to their material. The Caledon and Battleford CRCs are closed.
Every effort is being made to maintain services and adapt to evolving situations resulting from the labour dispute. Residents should check the Region’s website regularly at peelregion.ca/strike for up-to-date information.
Follow Public Works on Twitter at twitter.com/peelpublicworks for anticipated wait times and other information about service disruptions or visit peelregion.ca/strike.
