Yard Waste Collection Starts in Brampton and Mississauga

BRAMPTON, ON. †July 6, 2012 - Effective Monday, July 9, bi-weekly (every-other-week) yard waste collection resumes in Brampton and Mississauga. Residents should refer to their 2012/2013 Waste Management Guide or visit peelregion.ca.† The return of yard waste pick-up means that all collection services are ‘business as usual’.

Residents are asked to check their yard waste bags and double bag material if there are signs of deterioration. Double bagging yard waste will help to avoid breakage and mess.

“I’d like to thank residents for their understanding.” commented Norman Lee, Director of Waste Management. “I recognize that holding on to yard waste for the past few weeks was an inconvenience and I appreciate the patience shown by residents during this challenging time.”

The Region of Peel provides waste management services in the Cities of Brampton and Mississauga and in the Town of Caledon.
