New Peel Regional Council Takes Office on Dec. 4

Twenty-four Peel Regional Councillors representing the City of Mississauga, City of Brampton, and Town of Caledon will take their declarations of office and appoint a new Regional Chair.

The meeting is open to the public.

The Regional Municipality of Peel was incorporated in 1974 on the principle that certain community and infrastructure services are most cost-effectively administered over a larger geographic area. The Region of Peel serves more than 1.4 million people and 90,000 businesses in the cities of Brampton and Mississauga and the Town of Caledon. This year, the Region is proudly celebrating its 40th anniversary.
