Family Day Holiday Service Hours at The Region of Peel

BRAMPTON, ON. (Feb. 10, 2015) - Region of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed for Family Day on Monday, Feb. 16.

Residents in the Cities of Brampton and Mississauga are reminded that there will be no waste collection on Monday, Feb. 16 due to the Family Day holiday.

Residents in Caledon are reminded that there will be no changes to waste collection due to the Family Day holiday.

The following Regional offices and services will be closed on Monday, Feb. 16 and will reopen on Tuesday, Feb. 17:

  • Assessment: Peel Access to Housing and Childrenís Services
  • Brampton Breastfeeding Clinic
  • Childrenís Services Operations
  • Community Recycling Centres (CRCs)
  • Dental Services at Peel Public Health Clinics
  • Employment Resource Centres
  • Healthy Sexuality Clinics
  • Human Services Reception
  • Ontario Works in Peel
  • Peel Living
  • Public Works Reception
  • Peel Public Health Clinic ó Meadowvale
  • Rent Supplement

For emergencies related to food, shelter, medication and personal supports, call the Ontario Works after-hours line at 905-793-9200 or the Regionís main line at 905-791-7800.

TransHelp service hours on Family Day will be from 6 - 1 a.m. the following morning. Service will be provided by taxi vendors, but not available by bus. The Accessible Transportation offices will be closed; regular office hours and bus service will resume on Feb. 17. Please contact TransHelp at 905-791-1015 for any questions.

The Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) is open on Feb. 16, from 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. for a free Family Day event. Come explore PAMA, participate in family-friendly activities and tour fascinating new exhibits. For more information call 905-791-4055 or visit pama.peelregion.ca.
