Canada Day Holiday Service Hours at the Region of Peel

BRAMPTON, ON. (June 25, 2015) – Region of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed for Canada Day on Wednesday, July 1.

Residents in the Cities of Brampton and Mississauga and Town of Caledon are reminded that there will be no waste collection on Wednesday, July 1 due to the Canada Day holiday.

Brampton and Mississauga Revised Collection Schedule:

Regular Collection Day   Revised Collection Day
Wednesday, July 1 collected on Thursday, July 2
Thursday, July 2 collected on Friday, July 3
Friday, July 3 collected on Saturday, July 4

Caledon Revised Collection Schedule:

Regular Collection Day   Revised Collection Day
Wednesday, July 1 collected on Thursday, July 2
Thursday, July 2 collected on Friday, July 3

The following Regional offices and services will be closed on Wednesday, July 1 and will reopen on Thursday, July 2:

Access Peel Ontario Works
Breastfeeding Clinics Peel Access to Housing
Dental Services and Peel Public Health Clinics Peel Living
Employment Resources Centres Public Works Reception
Healthy Sexuality Clinics Rent Supplement
Human Services Reception Service Access

For emergencies related to food, shelter, medication and personal supports, call the Ontario Works after-hours line at 905-793-9200 or the Region’s main line at 905-791-7800.

TransHelp service hours on Canada Day will be from 6 1 a.m. the following morning. Service will be provided by taxi vendors, but not available by bus. The Accessible Transportation offices will be closed; regular office hours and bus service will resume on July 2. Please contact TransHelp at 905-791-1015 for any questions.

The Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) will be closed on Wednesday, July 1 for the Canada Day holiday. Visit pama.peelregion.ca for more information on PAMA’s exhibits and programs.
