The Region of Peel Celebrates Waste Reduction Week

BRAMPTON, ON. (Oct. 16, 2015) Ė The Region of Peel will celebrate Waste Reduction Week and the significant effort residents have put into participating in the Regionís Blue Box Program, by planting a tree that symbolizes the 14 million that have been saved by recycling newspaper.

Media representatives are invited for a photo opportunity of the tree planting during the time indicated below:

Monday, Oct. 19, at 10:15 a.m.
Fewster Community Recycling Centre
1126 Fewster Dr., Mississauga

Waste Reduction Week (WRW) is a nation-wide initiative that engages and empowers Canadians to reduce, reuse and recycle waste. WRW calls on all Canadians to adopt more environmentally conscious choices and is currently held in the third week of October each year.
