Peel’s 2018 Water Meter Replacement Program Starts Today

MISSISSAUGA, ON, (Apr. 10, 2018) – The Region of Peel is conducting a Water Meter Replacement program as part of the ongoing maintenance of the region's water meter system.

Starting April 10, homeowners with old water meters in the Mississauga area can expect a letter from the Region to set up a mandatory replacement appointment. There is no charge to residents for the meter replacement.

The purpose of the program is to replace outdated meters that have been in service for 20 years or more. The replacement involves removing the old meter from inside your home and replacing it with a new meter and reading device.

Peel has contracted Neptune Technology Group Canada Ltd. to conduct the replacements. Residents who receive this letter are asked to contact Neptune to book an appointment. Appointments are available Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. and Saturday between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The meter replacement takes approximately one hour or less and an adult of at least 18 years of age must be home at the time of installation.

To book an appointment call 905–542–0666 or 1–800–667–4387 or visit watermeterappt.com
