Notice of Intention to Adopt a Budget

In accordance with section 291 of the Municipal Act, 2001 and Regional By-law 63-2003, notice is hereby given that the Council of the Regional Municipality of Peel intends to adopt the 2007 Regional Current and Capital Budgets. The following meeting of General Committee has been scheduled to commence discussion and consideration of the 2007 Regional Current and Capital Budgets:

These budgets may be approved in whole, or in part, at the Regional Council meeting to be held on Thursday, January 25, 2007 or any subsequent Regional Council meeting. If the matter is considered at a subsequent meeting of Council, no additional notice will be provided unless Council directs otherwise.

All interested parties are invited to attend this public meeting. Any person wishing to make representation to Council should contact the Office of the Regional Clerk at 905-791-7800, ext. 4697.

Copies of the report from the Treasurer and Commissioner of Finance regarding the proposed 2007 Regional Budget process will be available Monday, January 15, 2007 in the Office of the Regional Clerk located at Regional Administrative Headquarters, 10 Peel Centre Dr., 5th Floor, Brampton, ON.  The full 2007 Regional Current and Capital Budgets will be available on the Regional website peelregion.ca as of January 18, 2007.
