NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTRE

Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Schedule B)
Kennedy Road Widening

URS Canada Inc. has been retained by the City of Mississauga to undertake the study of Kennedy Road widening from Derry Road northerly approximately 600m to the City of Mississauga border. This project is subject to a Schedule B process, in accordance with the Planning and Design Process for Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (June 2000). The City of Mississauga proposes to improve Kennedy Road to match the works being undertaken by the Region of Peel at Derry Road as well as the proposed widening of Kennedy Road in the City of Brampton to the Mississauga/Brampton municipal boundary.

Public consultation is vital to this study. We want to ensure that anyone with an interest in this study has the opportunity to get involved and provide input before any decisions are made on a preferred concept for the roadway improvements. The Public Information Centre for this project is planned to provide information to the public and to receive input and feedback on the study to date. Information on the need and justification for the project, including existing conditions and planning alternatives, will be presented.

The Public Information Centre will be in an open house format. You will have an opportunity to meet the project team and acquire details on the project from staff and their consultants who will be in attendance at the meeting. Anyone with an interest in the study is invited to attend and participate. With the exception of personal information, all comments will become part of the public record.
