NOTICE OF STUDY COMPLETION
Class Environmental Assessment for Inglewood Reservoir Expansion
Project Number 06-1810

The Region of Peel, through its consultant Gamsby and Mannerow Limited, has completed a Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Study to address expansion requirements at the Inglewood Reservoir. The study was completed in accordance with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment planning process document as a Schedule “B” activitService area & site locationy.

The Study Area consists of the Inglewood Reservoir Site, which provides elevated water storage for the Inglewood service area, as indicated in the attached figure. The Inglewood Reservoir is located on the west side of McLaughlin Road, North of the Village of Inglewood (west half of Lot 3, Concession 2 in the Town of Caledon).

The Class EA process included public and review agency consultation, an evaluation of alternatives, an assessment of the impacts of the proposed works and identification of measures to mitigate any adverse impacts. The proposed reservoir expansion will increase the capacity of the existing reservoir by 1.0 million litres.

An Environmental Study Report (ESR) has been prepared to document the planning and decision-making process followed by this study. By this notice, the ESR is being placed on public record for a 30-day review period, in accordance with the requirements of the Class EA process.

The Environmental Study Report will be available starting on July 14, 2007 until August 17, 2007 for public review at the following locations:

Subject to comments received as a result of this Notice and the receipt of necessary approvals, the Region of Peel intends to proceed with the detailed design and construction as documented in the ESR.

Interested persons should provide written comments regarding the project within the prescribed Review Period to either of the following individuals:

If concerns arise during the prescribed Review Period that cannot be resolved through discussions with the Region of Peel, a person or party may request that the Minister of Environment make an order for the project to comply with Part II of the Environmental Assessment Act. This request (commonly referred to as a Part II Order) must be received within the above prescribed 30 calendar day review period by the Minister, at the address listed below and copied to Mr. Bill Turner at the Region of Peel. If no request is received on or before August 17, 2007, the Region may proceed with detailed design and construction of the project.
