Notice of Intention to Pass a Local Improvement Charges By-law
Take notice that the Region of Peel intends to pass a local improvement charges by-law to construct a sanitary sewer as a local improvement on municipal lands on Portway Avenue, from 2018 Portway Ave. to 2144 Portway Ave., including 1500 Ifield Rd., in the City of Mississauga, Ward 8.
The by-law will be considered by Regional Council on:

The following information regarding the work is provided in accordance with Ontario Regulation 586/06, Local Improvement Charges – Priority Lien Status, filed under the Municipal Act, 2001:

| Estimated lifetime of the work: |
60 years |
| Estimated special charge per metre of frontage for lots liable to be specially charged: |
$450.00 per metre plus a mandatory connection fee of $2,100 per lot |
| When the special charges shall be paid: |
Following the completion of the work a special charge plus imputed interest shall be imposed in each year for fifteen consecutive years or the annual payments may be commuted to one present value payment at the option of the owner. |
| Approval, recommendation, or sufficient petition to undertake the work: |
A petition has been received by the Region of Peel from property owners of affected lots to undertake the work, which was certified by the Regional Clerk as sufficient in accordance with section 10 of O. Reg. 586/06. |
