The Region of Peel has identified the need for additional water supply capacity in Caledon East in accordance with the Region of Peel Water and Wastewater Master Plan Update (2007). Additional storage and a connection to the existing water distribution system are required to support approved growth through 2031.

The Class EA process includes public and review agency consultation, evaluation of alternatives, assessment of the impacts of any proposed undertakings, an identification of reasonable measures to mitigate any adverse impacts.
