DIXIE ROAD WATERMAINS AND ROAD CONSTRUCTION
New Twin Watermains, Road Widening and Noise Barrier Wall

This Public Information Centre #1 is to present the construction plans for the proposed new watermains, road widening and noise wall in Brampton. The project is divided into three phases:

Phase 1: Noise Walls – Noise walls will be installed along Dixie Road from Queen Street to Bovaird Drive and at some locations north of Bovaird Drive. Properties impacted by the installation are being contacted by the Region’s Real Estate Services staff for permission to enter onto private property to complete the work.

Phase 2: Watermain Construction – Construction of the new watermains will take place along Dixie Road from north of Howden Boulevard to south of North Park Drive (East Brampton Pumping Station).

Phase 3: Road Widening – Two lanes will be added on Dixie Road from Queen Street to just north of Mayfield Road. Dixie Road from Queen Street to Countryside Drive will be widened from four to six lanes and from Countryside Drive to north of Mayfield Road will be widened from two to four lanes. A multi-use trail will be built on Dixie Road.
