The Region of Peel will receive $90 million in federal and provincial infrastructure stimulus funding. The announcement was made on June 5 in Brampton by officials of the Government of Canada and Province of Ontario.

A total of 24 projects will receive stimulus funding in the Cities of Brampton and Mississauga and the Town of Caledon. Projects include road resurfacing, watermain repairs and replacements, a Malton paramedic satellite station, a new police fleet garage and inventory stores facility, and renovations to the Peel Heritage Complex.
