Residential Program

The Residential Program at Peel Youth Village (PYV) consists of:

• A unique service model that emphasizes democratic living and youth governance based on a foyer philosophy
• Transitional housing program with 48 private bedrooms:
  
  
  • Three residential floors all with shared kitchens, bathrooms and common area
  • Services to youth who come from diverse backgrounds
    
    
• A muti-disciplinary team of case managers, youth workers, employment resource workers, and a housing mobility worker who assist youth in every aspect of transitional living and help them to transition to independent living.
• Program support also includes after-care and follow-up.

Wrap-around Model of Support

The Wraparound - Circle of Support Model - is integrated, holistic, and client centered. It provides services in the least restrictive way, creates cross-collaboration between service providers, involves family and communities, and creates service systems that respond to the needs of culturally diverse populations.

For agencies, families and communities, this model provides a more effective way of providing targeted connected services while ensuring clients needs are met in their entirety.
