YMCA of Greater Toronto (The "Y")
The "Y" provides onsite services to residents 24-7, 365 days a year. They also deliver and support a wide range of community-based programs.
The YMCA residential team consists of case managers, youth workers, employment resource workers, and a Housing Mobility Worker who assists youth in every aspect of semi-independent living and transitioning to independent living, including after care and follow up.
Throughout the year a number of community partners work with the Region of Peel and YMCA to deliver specialized programs in the community. They have included:

Through a partnership with the federal and provincial governments, the Region of Peel built Peel Youth Village.
The Region of Peel continues to allocate funding to assist youth in transition. Combined with contributions from the National Homelessness Initiative and the Federal and Provincial Rental Housing Program, Peel Youth Village was built with the needs of youth and the Acorn community in mind.
