Emergency Hostel for Families
Peel Family Shelter provides emergency housing for homeless families in Peel. It is designed to serve 42 families and can accommodate up to 133 people.

The program operates 24 hours a day on a year-round basis.
Services
The Peel Family Shelter is supported by both the Region of Peel and the Salvation Army. The facility is operated by the Region of Peel, while the Salvation Army manages the daily programming and staffing.
The Salvation Army and Region of Peel staff help homeless persons by:
- Fostering well-being
- Providing shelter, food, clothing, psychosocial support
- Ensuring that all individuals have access to primary health care
- Helping individuals locate affordable housing
- Supporting individuals in their transition to independent living
- Providing effective connections with community agencies
- Providing support to seek and secure employment

Homeless individuals seeking emergency accommodation should be referred to Ontario Works in Peel at 905-793-9200, Monday thru Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
