Revenues Unit
The Revenues unit consists of three teams, the Family Support Team, Eligibility Review Team, and the Recoveries Team. The Revenues unit is responsible for the management of recoveries, cost reduction, financial integrity issues and supports the ongoing eligibility within the Ontario Works Division. The responsibilities of each team are briefly described below:

Family Support Unit
The Family Support Team assists Ontario Works clients obtain child, spousal, parental and sponsorship support. Ontario Works can provide income support to eligible clients when support is not in pay. Family Support Workers also work to ensure support arrears are later recovered from the payor. Family Support Workers can assist clients with:
- Obtaining a legal private support agreement
- The completion of court documents and court appearances to obtain a court ordered support agreement
- The enforcement of agreements which are not in pay
- Understanding Ontario Works legislation and family law statues relating to support issues.

Eligibility Review Team
The Eligibility Review Team investigates community complaints about Ontario Works clients. The Eligibility Review Officer's role is to ensure they only receive benefits which they are entitled to.
A provincial "Welfare Fraud Hotline" has been established so that the public can report concerns regarding potential abuse of the system. To report a suspected fraud, please call the Welfare Fraud Hotline number at 1-800-394-7867. You have the option to remain anonymous.
The public can also report concerns regarding potential abuse of the system to the local Ontario Works in Peel office. To report a suspected fraud to the local office please call 905-793-9200 and speak to the Customer Services Representative. You have the option to remain anonymous.
Case Presenting Officers are also part of the Eligibility Review Team. They are responsible for reviewing and preparing submissions to the Social Benefits Tribunal should an Ontario Works applicant/client appeal a decision made by the Administrator.
Recoveries Team
The focus of the Recoveries Team is to ensure that all revenues owed to Ontario Works in Peel are received. Some examples of work completed by this team include the review and follow-up of overpayments, correspondence with lawyers and agencies regarding assignments, completion of bankruptcy packages, calculation of sponsorship repayments amounts owing and the provision of support to other units within Ontario Works.
