Diabetic Supplies
If a client requires diabetic supplies, coverage equaling the cost of the item may be paid, if it will not be reimbursed by another source (e.g. Assistive Devices Program, Canadian Diabetes Association). The client will be required to provide a prescription from a physician, which must include information regarding the number of injections and/or syringes required per day.
Diabetic supplies include:
- Alcohol swabs
- Blood glucose monitors
- Lancets
- Platforms
- Syringes
- Test strips
