Guide Dog Benefit
The Guide Dog Benefit is provided to a client who
is either blind or deaf, and who has a trained guide
dog in need of routine care and feeding.
The Blind Person's Rights Act specifies standards
your guide dog must meet in order for you to qualify
for this benefit. The dog will have been trained by
Hearing Ear Dogs of Canada, in one of the schools
listed below, or by another hearing-ear guide dog
training school that provides identification or certification
upon completion of the training.
The Guide Dog Benefit may be paid up to $74 per
month.
