Interactive Voice Response
The Interactive Voice Response (IVR) is a Toll Free telephone system that provides Ontario Works clients with fast and easy access to personal case file information and general information about the Ontario Works program.
Once assistance is granted, clients will receive a nine digit identification number and a 4 digit PIN number in 2 separate mailings. Both numbers are required to access your case file at 1-800-808-2268.
Information is available about your case file such as:
- Most recent cheque date and amount
- Previous cheque history (payments within the last 45 days)
- Current overpayment balance (if applicable)
- Case Status such as 'Ongoing', 'Suspended' or 'Terminated'
The IVR system can be accessed from 8:00 am - 9:00 pm Monday to Friday & 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM Saturday and Sunday. Clients are encouraged to use the IVR system at their convenience.
