The LEAP Program assists parents who are 24 years of age or younger.

Eligibility
You are eligible to participate in our LEAP program if you:
- Are 24 years of age or under
- Have not graduated from high school
- Are eligible for Ontario Works assistance
You may be eligible to participate in the LEAP program if you are at least six months pregnant, but only under special conditions.
Components
LEAP involves 3 components: Learning Earning & Parenting.
1. Learning
Learning will provide you with all the support you need to complete your high school education. Your learning will take place in one of three settings:
- A traditional high school setting
- A school board program that supports the unique needs of young parents, or
- An approved alternative learning program
2. Earning
Earning will help you discover the employment skills you need to be successful in today's job market. You'll find out about work experience programs such as:
- School co-op programs
- Employment assessment
- Career counselling
- Job search workshops
- Community participation (volunteering)
3. Parenting
Parenting will give you the support you need to enhance your parenting skills.
Being a parent isn't always easy! You'll enjoy participating in parenting/child development activities that are linked to a school program or a community program.
