Vocational Training
The cost of vocational training is a discretionary benefit and may be used when employment assistance funds have been depleted.
Approval
Any training approved for assistance through vocational training must be job specific and connected to a job available in the local labour market.

Although individuals receiving financial subsidy benefits may be eligible for training assistance, it is approved on a case by case basis. Employment plans are negotiated between the client and caseworker prior to any funds being issued.
Clients are encouraged to contact their caseworkers prior to enrolling or committing to any type of training.
