About Peel Paramedics
Our Service Commitment
Peel Regional Paramedic Services is dedicated to saving lives, decreasing suffering and improving and promoting community safety.
Our highly trained, skilled paramedics provide life-saving, pre-hospital emergency medical care to Peel’s residents and visitors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
We work with Peel Regional Council to build and train our workforce to have an Advanced Care and Primary Care Paramedic on each ambulance. Being strategically placed throughout the Region allows our crews react to all emergency calls in less than 2 minutes.
Meeting Community Needs
The Region of Peel has over 400 full- and part-time paramedics who respond to over 80,000 emergencies each year. Our paramedics are sent into the community from 12 paramedic stations located in the Cities of Mississauga, Brampton and the Town of Caledon.
At peak times, paramedics in 43 ambulances care for nearly 1.1 million people and cover 1,225 square kilometres in Peel.
Peel Regional Paramedic Services also has 9 Supervisor First Response Vehicles, 2 Emergency Support Units and 2 Support Services Units to help care for Peel residents and visitors.
