Integrated Planning

Integrated Planning primarily:

• Gathers facts about the Region of Peel’s land and resources.
• Writes and reviews policies to guide how Peel grows.
• Measures the Region’s strategic plan and performance.
• Manages the Strategic Planning Process such as Strategic Plan renewal, Term of Council Priorities and performance reporting.
• Keeps the Regional Official Plan current.
• Monitors trends and decides if the Official Plan should be updated to stay current.
• Manages the Peel Data Centre.
• Works with other agencies on the Greenlands Securement Program.
• Collaborates with its partners on the Grown in Peel Initiative.
• Works with its partners to implement the Climate Change Strategy.

Integrated Planning also:

• Requests or carries out land and resource studies.
• Collects and delivers development data.
• Analyzes and reports on census data.
• Creates maps using Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
• Plans ways of meeting the needs of Peel’s current and future populations, making life better for everyone in Peel without impacting our resources or environment.
