About the Peel Data Centre

 Giving You Greater Access

The Peel Data Centre (PDC) is a network of Region of Peel resources managed by the Corporate Services Department that was created to give residents and organizations in the Region of Peel greater access to a wide range of tabular and spatial data on Peel and the GTA.

Quick Facts

 Our Primary Goals

We aim to give you:

  • Easy and timely access to the demographic, socio-economic and forecasting information requested by Peel departments, the public and agencies
  • A commonsense approach to data gathering
  • A single, reliable source for data
  • A forum for sharing information and analysis of demographic and socio-economic trends in the Region

 How We Achieve These Goals

The Peel Data Centre features content from several Region of Peel business units, including the Integrated Planning Division, Development Services, Transportation Planning, Corporate Services, Peel Health, and Human Services.

We produce bulletins and brochures, participate in projects such as the Community Social Data Strategy and respond to requests for information.

 Other Data Sources

While some of our data has been collected or generated by the Region of Peel, much of it originates from other sources, such as Statistics Canada, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation and Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Our Links page connects you to these and other organizations that provide data. The Peel Data Centre presents and highlights data from a Peel perspective. It is also designed to simplify the process of finding the data you need.
