Population and Housing Estimates

The following tables are estimates of the Region of Peel’s current and past population and housing units from 2016 to the present. The figures for population and housing units are an approximate calculation for the Region of Peel. These are not forecasts and are not meant to be used to predict and determine future population and housing figures for the Region of Peel. The estimates are calculated using population and dwelling unit counts from Statistics Canada’s 2016 Census, along with housing absorption data from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) and housing demolition data from Brampton, Caledon, and Mississauga.

The estimates include census undercount.
