Proposed Amendment To The Region Of Peel Official Plan

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Regional Municipality of Peel will hold a public meeting, pursuant to Section 17(15) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, to consider a proposed amendment to the Regional Official Plan on:

The purpose of the proposed amendment (File Number 03-001) is to amend the Regional Official Plan by including policies relating to the co-ordination of the provision of infrastructure for new development and the installation of underground telecommunications facilities on Regional road rights of way.

The effect of the proposed amendment (File Number 03-001) is to amend sections 5.1.3 and 7.3.4 of the Regional Official Plan that provides for co-ordination and equal assess.

To obtain a copy of the proposed amendment (File Number 03-001) to the Region of Peel Official Plan, along with background materials, please visit the Region of Peel Planning department located on the 6th Fl. at 10 Peel Centre Dr., Brampton. Copies of this information will be available to the public 20 days prior to the public meeting.

If a person or public body that files a notice of appeal of a decision of the Region of Peel in respect of the proposed official plan amendment does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Region of Peel before the proposed official plan amendment is adopted, the Ontario Municipal Board may dismiss all or part of the appeal. Written submissions must be provided to the Deputy Clerk by Feb. 26, 2004.
