Peel Region Official Plan Review
The Region Official Plan (ROP) is a comprehensive document that provides direction for future planning activities aimed at managing and directing physical change and the effects on the social, economic and natural environment. The ROP sets the context for detailed planning by protecting the environment, managing resources, directing growth and setting the basis for providing Regional services in an efficient and effective manner.
The Province of Ontario’s Planning Act requires all municipalities to review their Official Plan every five years. The last ROP review in Peel took place in March 2002, and the proposed ROP review is scheduled to begin Feb. 15, 2007.
