    • Airport Air Quality: Pollutant levels at Lester B. Pearson International Airport were largely within national standards; however, levels exceeding National Maximum Acceptable Levels were recorded for several years and several pollutants.

    • Energy Production: In 2000, six fossil-fuelled generating stations in Ontario produced about 20% of Ontario's total greenhouse gas emissions.

    • Landfill Gases: In 2001, 5,211 tonnes of methane was captured or destroyed at Peel landfill sites.

    • Aircraft Noise: In 2000, the GTAA Noise Management Office received 4569 complaints.
    • Rural Air Quality: Agriculture, transportation and aggregate extraction affect rural air quality in Peel.

    • Transportation: Between 1995 and 2001, vehicle trips made in Peel increased significantly.
