Collecting your informationWe only collect, keep and use personal information we feel is important (and allowed by law) for us provide key services and opportunities for Region of Peel residents.
We use 'cookies' to collect information anonymously
We use a browser tool called a 'cookie' to collect information anonymously and to track how visitors are using our website.
A cookie is a small text file that tells us which web pages are being visited and by how many people. We use this information for only statistical reporting and review the results to improve our websites.

We use ‘Webtrends’ to collect data for statistical reporting
We also use WebTrends, an tool that records site visits, to collect data. The data we record from Webtrends helps us understand our visitors better and design our websites to meet their needs.
WebTrends collects this data then produces reports we then use to improve our websites.
The data we gather from Webtrends isn’t connected to any personal information, so your anonymity and privacy is protected at all times.

Using your informationWe NEVER sell or rent personal information
We never sell or rent our site visitors' information to any outside company or organization.
We try to collect only the minimum amount of information needed to meet the purpose for which a visitor submitted personal data. We do not reveal specific information about users or give other personally identifiable data to any organization, except if required to do so by law.We use your information for the purpose you intended
The Region of Peel will not use any information you give us for any reason other than the purpose you intended. For example, if you provide your address for us to mail you a Waste Management Guide, we'll use that information to do only that: mail you the guide. You won’t receive phone calls or e-mails from us on any subject or request other than those you have contacted us about.
We strictly limit employee access
We strictly limit access to personal information to only Peel Region employees who need your personal information to carry out certain tasks (i.e., mailing you garbage tags or a brochure you requested).
