This information sheet is to tell you about the project what to expect with construction. This information sheet also tells you who to contact if you have any questions or concerns.
How long will construction last?
Construction is expected to begin September 2011 and should be completed by May 2012.
What can you expect during construction?
Heavy machinery is required to perform this type of construction. You may notice some noise in the vicinity of the construction site.
The works will be phased so as to minimize disruption to traffic while still maintaining a safe working environment as required under the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Access will be maintained at all times to businesses and homes. If you have particular needs, please contact us ahead of time and we will attempt to accommodate them. During construction, your driveway access may be temporarily blocked. We will contact you prior to crossing your driveway to arrange for alternative access, if required. Additional signs will be placed if alternate routes are required.
Due to the nature of the construction work and possibility of vibration from the construction activities, the Region of Peel would like to conduct a pre-construction survey on your home/building. This survey would be carried out by CL Inspections. The Building Condition Survey will include an interior/exterior inspection including photographs of buildings and structures.
Staff from CL Inspections will contact you to arrange for a mutually convenient time for the inspection. There are no costs to residents for this service. Please see CL’s attached letter for more information.
Your permission and co-operation to complete this survey will be appreciated.
