The works will be phased to minimize disruption to traffic while still maintaining a safe working environment as required under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Existing traffic flows will mostly be maintained during construction. However temporary lane closures will be required during off peak hours to move equipment, materials and complete work safely away from live traffic. Temporary road closures and detours are anticipated for critical portions of the work only.
Duffy’s Lane will require a road closure to allow for the construction of the new West Humber River bridge and various portions of the roadway. Appropriate detours and temporary staging of the roadway will be implemented to facilitate this work. Access to existing properties will be maintained throughout construction.
Our Contractor’s normal working hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but a shorter working day would mean the project would take longer to complete.
The Region of Peel is committed to keeping you informed and ensuring that the work is carried out with minimum disruption to homes and businesses. If there are any substantial changes in the project scope or schedule, you will be provided with project updates. In addition, we will provide updates at key project milestones.
