What are we doing?

  • Widening and reconstruction of Mayfield Road between Bramalea Road and Airport Road; including new curb and multi-use trail. View attached map.
  • Removing and replacing existing culverts.
  • Construction of a new bridge east of Torbram Road (for existing creek); including the relocation of 150m of existing watermain.
  • Installation of storm sewers and outlets.
  • Installation of local watermains for future side streets.
  • Installation of new street lighting.
  • New traffic signals at Mayfield Road and Torbram Road.

Where?

  • Mayfield Road between Bramalea Road (250m east) and Airport Road, approximately 2.5km.

When?

  • Start: July 10, 2017
  • Finish: September 2019

Working Hours

  • Our contractor’s normal working hours are from 7AM to 7PM.
  • These hours are consistent with the local municipality’s by-laws. We understand this may cause some inconvenience, but a shorter working day would mean the project would take longer to complete.

Traffic and Parking Control

  • Temporary lane closures will be required during non-peak hours.
  • Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
  • Barriers and signs will be placed for safety and direction, as required under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Driveway Access

  • We anticipate that driveway access will be maintained in so far as possible.
  • If we need to block your driveway for a short time you will be contacted to arrange for the best time and for alternate access.
  • We will ensure businesses have access at all times.
  • Please call the Project Manager if you have special needs related to access or business hours.
  • Address tabs and mail boxes will be relocated.
