Proposed Trunk Sanitary Sewer on the Albion-Vaughan Road from Hwy 50 to the Albion-Vaughan Pumping Station
We have finished the work. The project is under warranty until December 2017.
The Region of Peel will be constructing a new Trunk Sanitary Sewer on the Albion-Vaughan Road to improve the existing wastewater servicing in your area and to service future development along Albion-Vaughan Road in Caledon. The project involves deep trenching by conventional open cut excavation and micro-tunneling method involving deep shafts at servicing manholes. The existing granular shoulders will be paved to allow shifting south bound traffic onto temporary lanes. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained at all times during construction. Traffic speed will be reduced to 50km/hr within the work zone. The works will be staged in phases commencing from the intersection at Hwy 50/Mayfield Road to the Albion-Vaughan Road.
Construction is expected to start September 29, 2014. We anticipate completing all of the works including final restoration, by October 31, 2015.
The hours of work will be from 7:00am to 7:00pm on Monday through Friday. Weekend work may occur on an “as required” basis, but there is no intent to work on the weekends.
The works will be performed by Brantford Engineering and Construction, under contract to the Region of Peel. The contact persons and phone numbers are listed below:
