Construction in Peel: Caledon

Rehabilitation of Regional Road 19 (Winston Churchill Boulevard) from Old School Road / 22 Side Road to King Street
Project 15-4695

We have finished the work. The project is under warranty until August 31, 2018.

What are we doing?

  • Resurfacing and rehabilitation to improve roadway performance in partnership with Halton Region. The work includes, but is not limited to:
    • partial road reconstruction;
    • cold milling;
    • pulverization;
    • grading;
    • cellular concrete road base;
    • hot mix paving;
    • culvert replacements;
    • placement of pavement markings;
    • restoration; and
    • minor related works.

When?

  • Start: on or about August 2, 2016.
  • Finish: end of September 2016, weather permitting.

Working Hours

  • The contractor's working hours are from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. The contractor is permitted to work on Saturdays with Regional preauthorization.
  • These hours are consistent with Town of Caledon's by-laws. We understand this may cause some inconvenience, but a shorter working day would mean the project would take longer to complete.

Traffic Control

  • Full lane closures will be required on Winston Churchill Boulevard from August 8, 2016, to September 3, 2016 inclusive.
  • Emergency and local access will be maintained at all times.
  • Barriers and signs will be placed for safety and direction, as required under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Driveway Access

  • We will make sure businesses have access at all times.
  • Please call the project manager if you have special needs related to access or business hours.

  • The Region of Peel and Halton Region will keep you informed of any substantial changes in the project scope or schedule.
  • We are committed to ensuring minimum disruption to your homes and businesses.
