What are we doing?

  • Construction of sidewalks and a pedestrian crossover to improve public safety, accessibility, and connectivity, in addition to minor road reconstructions. The work includes, but is not limited to:
    • clearing and grubbing;
    • excavation and grading;
    • storm sewer replacements;
    • placement of curbs and sidewalks;
    • electrical works;
    • paving;
    • restoration; and
    • minor related works.

Working Hours

  • Contractor’s normal working hours are from 7:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Some work may occur on Saturdays, from 7:00am to 5:00pm.
  • These hours are consistent with the local municipality’s bylaws. We understand this may cause some inconvenience, but a shorter working day would mean the project would take longer to complete.

Traffic Control

  • Temporary lane closures will be required during non-peak hours.
  • All intersections will remain open but temporary lane closures will be necessary.
  • Ontario Provincial Police may be present during lane closures to direct traffic.
  • Emergency access will be maintained at all times.
  • Barriers and signs will be placed for safety and direction, as required under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Driveway Access

  • We anticipate that driveway accesses will be maintained.
  • Completing some of the works (such as curb replacement) may result in your driveway being temporary inaccessible. If this is the case, we will contact you in advance to arrange timing and alternate access. If your driveway is inaccessible, you may choose to park on a side street temporarily.
  • Please call the Project Manager if you have any special needs related to access.

  • The Region of Peel will keep you informed of any substantial changes in the project scope or schedule.
  • We are committed to ensuring minimum disruption to your homes and businesses.
  • Please call the Project Manager or Inspector if you have any questions or concerns.
