Public Works Construction

Construction in Peel: Mississauga

Public Notice
January 30, 2017
Project 11-1345 J

Dear Resident:

As you may be aware, the Region of Peel is installing a 400-mm (16”) diameter watermain between Blythe Road and Lincoln Green Close, and connecting to Mississauga Road. The watermain will provide a secure water supply and will stabilize water pressure in your neighbourhood.

The watermain will be installed by directional drilling between the following locations:

  • Drive 1 – Mississauga Road to Lincoln Green Close
  • Drive 2 – Mississauga Road to Blythe Road

Schedule

We expect to start drilling on or about February 6, 2017.

To minimize the amount of works required along Lincoln Green Close and Blythe Road and the impact to you, we plan to complete drilling from Mississauga Road towards Lincoln Green Close and Blythe Road. Works will take approximately three months to complete. Final restoration will follow in spring when sod and asphalt are available.

Vibrations

You may feel slight vibrations from the construction work.

Interrupting Your Water Supply

It is our goal to let you know 48 hours (2 days) in advance if we need to shut off your water. Occasionally, we may have to reduce this notice to 24 hours. If we have to shut off your water because of an emergency, we will do everything we can to fix the problem as quickly as possible.

Your Input Is Important to Us

If you have any questions about the works, please contact Ajay Puri at 905-791-7800 extension 5073 or by email.
