Major paving operations - Royal Windsor Drive to QEW
Please be advised that Gazzola Paving is scheduled to continue Day Milling and Paving Operations on Winston Churchill Boulevard, between Royal Windsor Drive and QEW, in the Northbound direction on Wednesday, August 3/16 starting at 7:00AM, weather permitting. The work will include full depth asphalt removal, granular base inspection, placement of new base asphalt and temporary line painting.
During Day Operations, the following sequence of events will occur on site:
Northbound Direction:
- All Southbound direction traffic will be reduced to a single Southbound slow/curb lane;
- All existing Northbound lanes will be temporarily closed;
- Traffic in the Northbound direction will be transferred at the Intersections via a single lane (median cross-over);
- All temporary Northbound direction traffic will be reduced and put into a single existing Southbound fast lane (on the West side of the centre of the road);
- Existing right/left turning lanes at intersections will be maintained where possible;
- Pay Duty Peel Regional Police Officers will be on site to assist with traffic control and emergency vehicles at all intersections;
