Adopt-a-Road Sponsorship Program

Adopt A Regional Road

Every day, the Region of Peel Public Works department strives to meet the needs and exceed the expectations of residents and businesses in Peel while respecting and appreciating the environment.

Keeping Regional roadsides free of garbage and debris is one of many ways we contribute to our Regional vision of creating healthy communities.

ADOPT-A-ROAD in Peel is a sponsorship program where ambitious, community-minded individuals or groups show their commitment to the environment by helping remove roadside litter.

Garbage and debris or roadside litter is unappealing to the eye for both residents and motorists, is harmful to the environment and takes away from a community's natural beauty.

We know that roadside litter can:

  • Be harmful to animals that consume it
  • Plug or block water drainage systems
  • Present safety concerns for both drivers and pedestrians
  • Carry a fine enforceable through by-law

For more information on the Adopt-a-Road program in the Caledon area, contact Joanne Davad at: 905-791-7800 ext. 3406 and in the Brampton and Mississauga area, contact Cam Woodgate at: 905-791-7800 ext. 3204 or e-mail us.
