Bovaird Drive (Regional Road 107) from Lake Louise Drive/Worthington Avenue to 1.45 km west of Heritage Road.
The Region of Peel has initiated an Environmental Assessment for Bovaird Drive from Lake Louise Drive/Worthington Avenue to 1.45 km west of Heritage Road.
The Region of Peel in conjunction with the Region of Halton, Town of Caledon, City of Brampton and Town of Halton Hills, is undertaking the Halton Peel Boundary Area Transportation Study (HPBATS) which is expected to be completed in 2010. The west study limit of the Bovaird Drive EA may be reviewed based on the recommendations of PBATS and the project scope revised accordingly.
The study will evaluate the need and feasibility of widening and improvements to Bovaird Drive to address needs related to address short and long term issues related to:
- future growth;
- operational and service deficiencies;
- road geometrics;
- road link capacity; and
- storm drainage deficiencies.
This study is being carried out in accordance with the requirements of a Schedule 'C' undertaking as outlined in the Municipal Engineers Association Municipal Class Environmental Assessment document (October 2000, as amended in 2007). The Class Environmental Assessment planning process includes public and review agency consultation, evaluation of alternatives, assessment of the effects of the proposed works and identification of measures to mitigate any adverse impacts.
