Old Church Road, from Marilyn Street to east of Innis Lake Road
The Region of Peel has initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment, for improvements to Old Church Road, from Marilyn Street to east of Innis Lake Road, in the Village of Caledon East. The study is being conducted in accordance with the approved requirements for a Schedule “B” project as described in the Municipal Engineers Association’s Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) document (October 2000, as amended in 2007). The Class Environmental Assessment planning process includes public and review agency consultation, evaluation of alternatives, assessment of the effects of the proposed works and identification of measures to mitigate any adverse impacts.
The study will:
- consider the needs for accommodating proposed adjacent development;
- review current and future levels of service on Old Church Road with consideration for existing and future growth and development along the corridor;
- identify problems and opportunities for improvements; and
- recommend a solution through a comprehensive and environmentally sound planning process, with public participation.
