The Gore Road EA
The Region of Peel has initiated a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment, for improvements to The Gore Road, from Patterson Sideroad to Highway 9 within the Town of Caledon. The study is being conducted in accordance with the approved requirements for a Schedule “B” project as described in the Municipal Engineers Association’s Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) document (October 2000, as amended in 2007). The Class Environmental Assessment planning process includes public and review agency consultation, evaluation of alternatives, assessment of the effects of the proposed works and identification of measures to mitigate any adverse impacts.The study will evaluate existing structural and geometric conditions on The Gore Road, identify the need for improvements and recommend a design solution.
