Engineering Submission Requirements

Engineering drawing

An engineering drawing is required as part of the submission process. The drawing must be approved by the Region of Peel before construction can start.

Acceptable drawings include:

  • Removals Drawing
  • New Construction Drawing
  • Typical Sections Drawing
  • Pavement and Grading and Drainage Drawing
  • Pavement Marking and Signage Drawing

All drawings must be stamped and signed by a licensed professional engineer and comply with the Region of Peel standards and the latest Ontario Provincial Standard Drawing (OPSD) standards.

Public Utilities Co-ordinating Committee approval

All approved engineering drawings must obtain Public Utilities Co-ordinating Committee (PUCC) approval before construction begins. This process requires a minimum of 6 weeks and is co-ordinated by the Region of Peel on behalf of the developer.

The developer is required to send up to 20 copies of their engineering drawings to the Region of Peel. The Region circulates the drawings to the utility companies for review.
