How the program works
Step 1
Complete the Business Hazardous Waste Program online application. You may also download
the form in PDF format (90KB, 2 pages)
Step 2
Submit the application to the Hazardous Waste Depot at any of the Region’s CRCs, online, by fax to 905-624-9767 or by mail.

Step 3
If your business qualifies for the program, you will be contacted by the Region of Peel to sign
a hazardous waste disposal agreement and to schedule a drop-off appointment. You are only
required to sign the agreement one time, and not for each subsequent drop-off appointment. A
copy of the signed agreement must be in the vehicle transporting the hazardous waste at all times.
The required shipping documents and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification labels will be sent to you.
Step 4
Prior to drop-off, the waste containers must be properly sealed following the guidelines found on
the TDG certification labels. The company labels must be filled out.
Step 5
Upon drop-off, the hazardous waste facility operator will verify the waste type and quantity and
will sign off on the shipping documentation.
You will be required to pay once you drop off your hazardous waste. Payments can be made by credit card or debit – no cash payments.
